Gert Heij, plant manager Division Mondarom, studied analytical and organic chemistry, then chemical engineering, before completing his preparation with courses in Corporate Management and Economics and a five-year in-depth study of the Lean methodology that led him to reach the highest level of specialization, Lean Black Belt. The Lean methodology is an approach to corporate work that focuses on the identification and elimination of waste, a constant optimization of resources, human and material, to make a company reactive and always ready to anticipate, meet and face the changes imposed by the market. Gert Heij works in close contact with the entire corporate team, which is made up of 15 people, placing each professional figure in the condition to analyse his work, identify areas of strength and weakness, and suggest new solutions to improve the manufacturing process.
